I Will Not Hesitate To React Spiritually
Roaming Room presents a large scale, site-specific installation of newly commissioned work by Spanish artist Greta Alfaro. Using real documents from a case in the court, with all names and dates erased, together with film, photographs and artefacts, Alfaro weaves together fact and fiction in this solo show that takes over the disused Lambeth County Court.
Greta studied Fine Art at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and Photography at the Royal College of Art. Her interest lies in exploring private and public behaviours and what she describes as ‘the hidden things that you don’t want to be made public; that dirty the official image of persons or institutions.’ Her work is often unsettling and in this new project she uses found information and skilfully creates a fiction around it so that our experience as the audience is one of mystery and uncertainty.

The Theatre of Buildings is a project in which we explore the potential of showing contemporary art in unexpected architectural spaces. This 6 month project will support 47 artists working in installation, film, performance and 2 dimensional work. The project features four exhibitions in four separate buildings. These include Collaborators 5: The Hand of the Artist (September 2018), Hammersmith Library Project (21st November-31st January 2019), Gracepoint Film Event (March 2019) and Greta Alfaro (May 1st 2019)
